Held In Custody is a time travel erotic suspense, set in the Scottish Highlands.

Here’s the sales blurb:

When he encounters an injured young woman while on a motorcycle ride on the small Scottish island of North Uist, police officer Finn Olsen immediately comes to her aid, but to his surprise her dialect proves all but incomprehensible to him. To make matters worse, she first tries to run and then does her best to stab him with a dagger after he catches her.

Recognizing that the woman is confused and distraught, Finn disarms her, handcuffs her, and brings her back to the local police station, which doubles as his home. Once she is in his custody, however, it quickly becomes clear that his beautiful, feisty prisoner comes from a very different era, and that she has somehow travelled forward in time more than a thousand years.

Finn takes it upon himself to keep the headstrong girl safe in a completely unfamiliar world, even going so far as to bare her bottom for a sound spanking with his belt when she attempts an escape. Despite her situation, she is deeply aroused by his bold dominance, and when he claims her properly she is left utterly spent and satisfied. But as they unravel the mystery of her arrival in the twenty-first century, will their discoveries bring an end to their newfound romance

And the snippet… definitely NSFW

Eira thought she might find her release, right here and now. She writhed as he played with her.

“Stop wriggling about and answer me. Do you like this?” His tone was stern, and cool.

“Yes, sir. Yes, I like it.” She willed herself to remain still.

“In that case, and if you take your punishment well, we may return to it later. Now…” He withdrew his sensual touch and strode away from her to pick up the cane from the bed where he had left it. Eira flinched as he swung it through the air a couple of times as though testing the speed. Each stroke made an ominous whooshing sound. She clenched her buttocks in terrified anticipation.

Finn returned to stand just behind her. “Ready?” His voice was softer now, less stern.

“Yes,” she managed, her entire body stiffening…

  1. I’m with PK and Angie on this one. The cane is for very serious errors in judgment. Not sure what she did, but she’d definitely going to pay for it. I don’t think I could answer “yes” to his question. I was prepped to undergo surgery and the doctor asked if I was ready and I said, “Nope. Think I’ve changed my mind.” Don’t imagine it would have much mattered either way since we were pretty much committed at that point.

  2. Love the concept, but the cane just isn’t a Scottish implement. Not used in Scotland at all. The tawse is the traditional implement of correction. Sorry but just had to share the authenticity. I know what I’m talking about given my Scottish roots.
